| Pro Review: | By Peter Silvestro The teaming of the two great pulp heroes—hard to believe it’s never been done before, except in pastiche—gets off to a nice start with this issue introducing the two for the benefit of each other’s fans. The dark and moody Shadow is contrasted with the big and bright Doc, wisely allowing the reader to see them in their own milieu before teaming them in the next part. The art, a team-up of the two series’ regular artists, is an ideal look for the two. Another neat touch was the covers for this story arc, designed as a pulp magazine called Double Danger Stories, all of which feature a Doc Savage with a torn shirt.
